Effective Length

The term effective length is mostly used as a synonym for the buckling length or the lateral-torsional buckling length.

In the environment of Dlubal Software, it is mostly used as a generic term or synonym for the buckling length or the lateral-torsional buckling length. Der Begriff erscheint daher in den Programmgenerationen RFEM 5 und RSTAB 8 vor allem in Bemessungsmodulen für Stäbe, in denen Stabilitätsnachweise geführt werden.
