Background Layer

A background layer is used as a template for graphical modeling, which is thus much easier.

Entering in RFEM and RSTAB

A background layer can be imported using the menu "Insert" → "Guide Objects" → "Background Layer" or the shortcut menu of Project Navigator – Data → "Guide Objects" → "Background Layers". The file to be imported requires a file in the DXF format.

After importing a background layer, pay attention to the setting of the Object Snap: To activate or deactivate the snap mode to background layers, use the Snap to Background Layers button in the status bar on the right.

Furthermore, you can edit or move the background layer by right-clicking the entry of the background layer in the Navigator – Data.
