A surface set allows you to combine several surfaces into one object and subsequently treat them as a unit. This way, you can apply loads over all surfaces, or design continuous surfaces, for example.
In RFEM, select a surface set type that describes the way the surfaces are grouped. There are two types available for selection:
- Continuous Surfaces
With this type of surface set, the surfaces are arranged in a continuous row. Each surface may have a maximum of two further connecting surfaces.
- Surface Groups
A surface group consists of contiguous surfaces that may also branch out. Thus, a surface can have several connecting surfaces.
