I particularly appreciate the handling of internal forces according to second order theory. The input and combination of imperfections and stabilization loads has been solved brilliantly.

Silk Road International Exhibition Center in Xi'an, China
The Silk Road International Exhibition Center in Xi'an combines cultural, commercial, and technological functions, hosting summits and exhibitions. Its design reflects the ancient city's architectural heritage, with walls inspired by Xi'an’s historic city wall and a flowing, curved roof evoking Silk Road sand dunes. The facade, designed by Huana Engineering Consulting using RSTAB.

NIO User Experience Center in Hefei, China
The NIO User Experience Center in Hefei symbolizes the sky and earth, mirroring the NIO logo. Achieving CO2 neutrality through eco-friendly materials and solar power, the building features a striking facade with vertical grids supported by elliptical aluminum tubes. Dlubal Software's RFEM and RWIND were used for structural and wind load analysis.

World's Longest Suspension Footbridge, Czech Republic
In May 2022, the Sky Bridge in Dolní Morava opened as the world's longest suspension footbridge, spanning 2,365 feet. Designed by TAROS NOVA a.s. and analyzed using RFEM 5, the bridge connects two mountain ridges over 3,280 feet above sea level. It uses fully locked coil suspension ropes anchored to steel pylons and is stabilized by wind ropes secured to concrete footings.

Champagne School Building in Biel, Switzerland
The Champagne School Building in Biel is a modular timber structure designed to be relocated after eight years. Josef Kolb AG used RFEM for the structural analysis, designing the building with cross-laminated timber (CLT) prefabricated modules. The structure was assembled in just four days, featuring easily disassembled connections.
This project was inspired by renowned foreign zoos and emphasized maximum comfort for the animals. The RFEM 6 software was used together with the Steel Design and Form-Finding add-ons for the design of the pavilion structure.
