In the new program generation, the thicknesses for surface components are no longer entered when creating the surfaces, but are defined separately as global parameters. The thickness of a surface corresponds approximately to the cross-section of a member. When creating a new thickness, three parameters are entered:
- Thickness type (constant, variable, layers, and so on)
- Material
- Thickness
The advantage of this global definition is that thicknesses, materials, and thickness types can be adjusted retrospectively for all surface components.
