building grid

A building grid is a one-, two-, or three-dimensional grid, the intersection points of which are snap points for the graphical input. It is thus used as a drawing aid for positioning objects.

Info

In the program generations RFEM 5 and RSTAB 8, the building grid is referred to as Line Grid.

Entering in RFEM and RSTAB

A building grid can be defined by using the menu "Insert" → "Guide Objects" → "Building Grid" → "Dialog Box," or the corresponding shortcut menu in the Navigator - Data.

In the "Grid Line Coordinates" dialog section, you can specify the position coordinates of the grid lines, separated by spaces. The zero point of the building grid is defined in the "Origin" section.

The building grid can be created not only in a Cartesian coordinate system, but also as an inclined, cylindrical, or spherical grid as "Specific Grid".
