Building Grid

A building grid is a one-, two-, or three-dimensional grid whose intersection points represent snap points for the graphical input. It is thus used as a drawing aid for positioning objects.

Info

In the program generations RFEM 5 and RSTAB 8, the building grid is referred to as a line grid.

Entering in RFEM and RSTAB

You can define a building grid by using the menu "Insert" → "Guide Objects" → "Building Grid" → "Dialog Box," or the corresponding shortcut menu in the Navigator – Data.

In the "Grid Line Coordinates" section of the dialog box, you can specify the position coordinates of the grid lines, separated by spaces. The zero point of the building grid is defined in the "Origin" section.

You can create the building grid not only in a Cartesian coordinate system, but also as an inclined, cylindrical, or spherical grid as a "specific grid".
