Average Region

In an average region, the results of a calculation in RFEM 5 are averaged or set to zero for further evaluation and design in add-on modules.

Due to singularities, there are very large internal forces occurring in FEA calculations, which are not relevant for design. You can avoid this problem by using the "Average Region" object in RFEM. The geometry and characteristics of the area can be easily described in the corresponding dialog box.

The utilization of average regions or the internal forces set to zero must be activated in the detailed settings of add‑on modules.

Info

In RFEM 6, the average region is referred to as Surface Results Adjustment.
