Time-Dependent Analysis

Time-Dependent Analysis:

For the concrete and timber structures, it is necessary to consider time-dependent factors, such as the additional plastic deformations due to the creep and shrinkage of the construction material.
These deformations can significantly influence the distribution of internal forces.

Usage in RFEM 6 and RSTAB 9:

In order to consider the time-dependent factors in RFEM 6 and RSTAB 9, it is necessary to activate the "Time-Dependent Analysis (TDA)" add-on in the Base Data.
After activating the add-on, it is possible to add time specifications to load cases. After defining the start and end of the load, the influence of creep at the end of the load is taken into account.
The creep effects can be modeled for frames and trusses made of reinforced concrete.

The calculation is performed nonlinearly according to the rheological model (the Kelvin and Maxwell model).

After a successful calculation, the determined internal forces can be displayed in tables and graphics, and considered in the design.
