There are various load types that can be applied to a structural model. If a nodal load is defined, the load acts individually on a define node. It can be defined for each of the six degrees of freedom (force or moment) independently of each other.
The load can be entered by component (with regard to the respective coordinate system) or by direction (for example, rotated about a certain axis).
Nodal forces act positively if the load arrows point in the directions of the positive axes of the respective coordinate axes system. The positive nodal moments act by right-hand twist about the corresponding positive global axis. In the program, the directions of the loads are displayed in the program dialog box of the load entry in a preview picture.
Entering in RFEM and RSTAB
Nodal loads can be entered and defined in the program by using the menu "Insert" → "Loads" → "Nodal Loads" → "Dialog Box" or the corresponding button, or in tables.
