Reinforcement Group

In the program generations RFEM 5 and RSTAB 8, a reinforcement group is defined equally by the parameters of a reinforcement, such as the number of reinforcement directions, dimensions of the concrete cover, reinforcement surfaces and the rebar diameter. This results in the concrete reinforcement.

In the program generations RFEM 6 and RSTAB 9, the design properties are assigned directly to members and surfaces.

Entering in RF-CONCRETE Surfaces and RF-CONCRETE Members

A structural component (a surface or a member) may only be assigned to one reinforcement group so that the parameters are clearly effective. A reinforcement group describes the required reinforcement, such as longitudinal reinforcement, consisting of the basic and additional reinforcement as well as the shear reinforcement.

A reinforcement group is defined in the add‑on module in Window 1.4 or Window 1.6. There is the reinforcement group already preset and can be adjusted in the corresponding tabs. You can create more reinforcement groups by using the New button. Please make sure that in the first reinforcement group, not all surfaces or members are selected for the design as only one reinforcement group would be necessary.
