Strength

The strength is a material property, which describes the resistance to failure.

Depending on the loading, various types of strength are relevant. They define the limit values of the material; for example, for tension and compression, bending, torsion, and shear force. For design checks, the characteristic values of the strength should usually be reduced by partial factors.

In RFEM and RSTAB, you can find the material-specific strength values in libraries.
