Folded Plate Structure

A folded plate structure is a spatial structure consisting of plates and slabs. The boundary lines of the surfaces run in straight lines.

The surfaces are loaded in the plate plane (axial forces nx and ny) and possibly also in the slab plane (bending moments mx and my). Due to the spatial arrangement of the surfaces, a stiffening of the structure is achieved.
