In the program generations RFEM 5 and RSTAB 8, a null member is a member that is not considered in the calculation.
A null member with its load is not taken into account in the calculation. This member type allows you to analyze the changes of the structural behavior of a model if certain members are not effective, without the necessity of deleting the members.
This member type is no longer available in the program generations RFEM 6 and RSTAB 9: You can exclude a member from the calculation using the Deactivate for Calculation option in the member dialog box.
