Null Member

A null member is a member that is not considered in the calculation in the program versions of RFEM 5 and RSTAB 8.

Member Type "Null"

A null member with its load is not taken into account in the calculation. This member type allows you to analyze the changes of the structural behavior of a model if certain members are not effective, without being necessary to delete the members.

This member type is no longer available in the program generation RFEM 6 and RSTAB 9. Now, you can exclude a member from the calculation by using the Deactivate for Calculation option in the member dialog box.
