Openings are used to create cutouts in surfaces. Finite elements are not generated and surface loads are not applied to the openings.
Boundary Lines
To enter openings, you can use any existing "Boundary Lines". The lines must form a closed polygonal chain. Openings on the edge of a surface are allowed as well.
You can also graphically place openings directly in surfaces. Use the list button on the toolbar to access various shapes of openings.
The definition types are based on the line types described in the chapter Lines or the shapes of plane surfaces described in the chapter Surfaces . Once the contour lines have been defined, the opening is created and integrated in the surface.
