Standards I

Standards form the basis for structural analyses and various design checks. In the Standards I tab, define the most important rules according to which the model is calculated and designed.

If both the Combination Wizard and the Load Wizards have been activated in the "Add-ons" tab (see the chapter Add-ons), you can select the "Standard group" with a "National Annex" or "Edition".

Standard Group

In the left column, define the "Standard group" that is relevant for the individual criteria of your model. Various rules and standards are available for selection in the list.

The "Load Case Classification and Combination Wizard" section controls the rules according to which the load combinations are created. The standards follow different approaches for determining the internal forces and moments needed to ensure the structural safety or serviceability.

Info

For some standards, variants for timber are available. They determine the specifications for the creep behavior, such as the deformation coefficient kdef or the creep factor Kcr . The standard group 'EN 1990 | Basis + Holz' wiederum eignet sich für Hybridsysteme beispielsweise aus Beton und Holz, um die GZG-Kombinationen materialbezogen zu erzeugen.

The standard set in the "Load Wizards" section affects the automatic generation of wind and snow loads for standard building types.

The "Design | Standard Group" section controls the standards that are used for the design of different materials or for special analyses. You can only access the categories if the corresponding add-on has been activated in the Add-ons tab.

National Annex | Edition

For standards such as the Eurocode, there are special rules for individual countries: The combination and design rules are defined in the European standard, but the countries are allowed to regulate many partial safety factors and design parameters individually. In the second column, select the National Annex or edition for the respective standard groups.

By setting the "CEN" option, the factors and parameters recommended by the European Commission apply.

You can also use the Filter können Sie alte Normfassungen in der Liste ein- und ausblenden.

Um die Teilsicherheits- und Kombinationsbeiwerte der Norm zu überprüfen, klicken Sie auf die Schaltfläche  Edit neben dem Eingabefeld. A dialog box appears, the content of which depends on the standard group.

Adjusting Parameters for Combination Wizards

The partial safety and combination factors of a National Annex or a standard edition cannot be changed. To combine the load cases by user-defined factors, select an annex or edition with parameters serving as a reference. Rufen Sie dann mit der Schaltfläche Edit den Dialog 'Lastfallklassifizierungs- und Kombinationsassistent' auf.

Click the button New , um einen neuen Dialog aufzurufen. Enter a "Name suffix" of the modified Annex.

After clicking OK, you can adjust the factors individually. Click OK to complete the changes in the "Load Case Classification and Combination Wizard" dialog box. The user-defined annex is then available for selection in the list.

Activated Standards

This dialog section provides an overview of the rules used for the model.
