With a surface set, you can combine surfaces and treat them as a unit; for example, to apply loads over all surfaces, or to design continuous surfaces.
Surface Set Type
The surface set type describes the way surfaces are grouped. Two types are available for selection in the list.
Continuous Surfaces
All surfaces are continuously strung together. The boundary line of a surface represents the boundary line of exactly one other surface, whereby each surface may have a maximum of two connecting surfaces.
Group of Surfaces
A group of surfaces consists of connected surfaces that may branch. Thus, the boundary line of a surface can also be used by several connection surfaces. The design of surface groups is only possible to a limited extent.
