Filtering Result Tables

The result tables provide filter options that you can use to display particular results. Use the Result Table Manager button to open the 'Result Table Manager' dialog box.

In the Result Table Manager, you can define the result rows and result columns that are displayed.

Current Table Set

The dialog section on the top left allows for saving the table settings. All available results are preset as 'Default'.

To save specific settings for the tables, click the New button. Enter a description in the 'New Table Set' dialog box.

After clicking OK, you can specify the settings for the new table set. They are then available for evaluation in the 'Current Table Set' list.

Info

Specifications made in the current table set are also applied to the printout report by default.

Tables

Use the check boxes in the directory tree to define the tables that are displayed. When selecting an entry by clicking, you can specify detailed settings for the result type in the 'To Display' tab.

To Display

In the 'To Display' tab, define the 'Rows' and 'Columns' that you want to be displayed in the tables. Separate specifications are possible for the 'Values' of load cases and combinations as well as for the 'max/min' results envelope. The latter concerns the table output for result combinations and design situations. There, two result values appear on each location - the minimum and maximum results with the corresponding values.

For member internal forces and moments, for example, the values of the member starts and ends (nodal values), of the inner points (x-locations of user-defined Member Result Intermediate Points) as well as the extreme values of the members are displayed. The check boxes allow you to control which types of internal forces are displayed in the columns.

The following example shows the filter settings for the internal forces and moments of a member. The nodal values are highlighted in yellow in the table, the extreme values of each internal force in blue, and the total extreme values in gray.

If you tick the 'According to criteria' check box, the 'Criteria - Values' or 'Criteria - Min/Max Envelope Values' tab appears. Here, you can enter specifications for the result values shown in the tables (see Criteria paragraph).

Criteria

The Criteria - Values and Criteria - Min/Max Envelope Values tabs are available if you have ticked the 'According to criteria' check boxes in the 'To Display' tab.

You can define conditions for the table values of the selected result type. Select the deformation, internal force, stress, or strain in the second column. In the next two columns, specify which criterion you want to apply.

To define another criterion, select the 'or'-entry (each criterion counts for itself) or 'and' (each criterion must be fulfilled) in the last column. Then, define the next condition in the new line.

The image above shows the criteria for bending moments. So, the table will show only the results of moments My that are not between ±10 kNm, and whose corresponding moments Mz are at the same time out of the range of ±5 kNm.
