In the "Navigator - Results", specify the design results of the ratios that should be displayed graphically on the surfaces. You can select from the specific types of design for the ultimate limit state, the serviceability limit state, and the detailing of the general reinforcement and design rules.
The maximum design ratio of the selected design type is shown for each surface location. The results of the concrete design – regardless of the specified Result Smoothing – are displayed with continuous smoothing within the surface sets or surfaces.
The color assignments of the design ratios are shown in the control panel.
Ultimate Limit State
In the "Ultimate Limit State" subcategory, you can select the design check type to be displayed graphically.
Each design is identified by an identifier with a number, as it is in tables. The design checks of the structural analysis have the "SA" identifier; the ULS design checks have the "UL" identifier.
Serviceability Limit State
The "Serviceability Limit State" subcategory contains the various design check types that play a role in the SLS design.
The serviceability limit state design checks have the "SE" identifier. They include the limitation of the concrete compressive stress σc (if activated), the limitation of the steel stress σs, the crack width design wk, the check of the bar diameter ds, the design of the rebar spacing sl, the minimum reinforcement as,min for the crack width limitation, as well as the deflection design, and so on.
According to EN 1992‑1‑1, Section 7, not all of the specified design ratios have to be less than 1 for the SLS design. If the reinforcement is not automatically increased to design the serviceability, it is only necessary to meet one of the following criteria:
- Minimum reinforcement as,min and limit diameter ds,lim
- Minimum reinforcement as,min and rebar spacing sl,lim
- Direct design of the crack width wk (not yet implemented)
On the other hand, if you activate the Increases the required longitudinal reinforcement automatically for designing the serviceability design situation option, the criteria of the minimum reinforcement, limit diameter, and maximum distance are automatically taken into account, and thus the SLS design is fulfilled. A direct crack width calculation is not yet available.
Detailing
In the "Detailing" subcategory, you can select from all types of design for the general reinforcement and construction rules.
The design checks of construction rules have the "DM" identifier, the design checks of durability and concrete cover have the "DC" identifier.
Values on Surfaces
The "Values on Surfaces" category at the end of the upper navigator area provides various options for displaying result values on the surfaces (see the image Specifying Design Check Type for Ultimate Limit State). They are described in Chapter Surfaces for the reinforcement output.
