The Design Situations in RFEM allow you to control the combination expressions to be applied for the generation of load or result combinations according to the limit states for the selected standard. Furthermore, it is possible to assign manually created load or result combinations to the limit states.
The "Different Materials" option is available for design situations. Among other things, this option allows you to use different materials or material models and stress-strain diagrams depending on the limit state or the design situation. An application case for this can be the nonlinear analysis of concrete. The following series of figures shows the activation for "Different materials" for the design situations, as well as the assignment of the material to be used.
In further use of the actions in the concrete design, the design situation type of the design is assigned to the design situation of the action. Further information is provided in Chapter Design Situations of the Design Specifications.
