Concrete Design Add-on

This manual describes the "Concrete Design" add-on for the RFEM 6 and RSTAB 9 programs. Since the input and functions of the reinforced concrete design are identical in both programs, the description of the add-on in this manual only refers to RFEM 6. However, the explanations also apply to the concrete design in RSTAB 9. The design of surfaces, the result and rib members, as well as punching design are only available in RFEM.

You can activate or deactivate the use of the design add-on in the Add-ons tab of the model's Base Data.

A green dot in front of the add-on description means that a license is available. An orange or blue dot indicates that you can only use the add-on as a demo or trial version with a limited range of functions.

In the Standards I tab of the Base Data, you can select the standard that should be used for the reinforced concrete design (see also Chapter Standards I of the RFEM manual). The input dialog boxes of Concrete Design are automatically adjusted to the selected standard.

The currently available design standards and a summary of the functional scope can be found in the product description of Concrete Design.

As soon as you activate the add-on and select the design standards, the user interface is extended by some new entries in the navigator, tables, and dialog boxes. This means that the concrete design parameters are fully integrated into the user interface of the program RFEM or RSTAB.

Tip

In our tutorial, you can follow the concrete design step by step using a simple model.
