The table result category Results by Member lists the results of the time history analysis that are available for members. The results in the individual tabs are sorted by member numbers.
Global Deformations
You can display the member deformations graphically using the "Global Deformations" navigator category (see the image Results of Time History Analysis ). In the "Global Deformations" tab of the table, the member deformations are displayed numerically (see the image Results by Member in Table). The results are as follows:
- Absolute total displacement |u|
- Displacements uX, uY, and uZ
- Rotations φX, φY, and φZ
The deformations refer to the axes of the global coordinate system.
Local Deformations
You can display the local member deformations graphically using the "Members" → "Local Deformations" navigator category (see the image Selecting Local Member Deformations in Navigator ). The values of the member deformations are listed in the "Local Deformations" tab of the table. The results are as follows:
- Absolute total displacement |u|
- Local displacements ux, uy, and uz
- Local rotations φx, φy, and φz
- Cross-section warping ω (provided that the Warping Torsion (7 DOF) add-on has been activated)
The deformations refer to the local member axes.
Internal Forces
You can display the internal forces of members graphically by using the "Members" → "Internal Forces" navigator category (see the image Results of Time History Analysis ). In the "Internal Forces" tab of the table, the internal forces of members are displayed numerically. The results are as follows:
- Forces N, Vy, and Vz
- Moments MT, My, and Mz
- Bimoment Mω (provided that the Warping Torsion (7 DOF) add-on has been activated)
- Torsional moments MT,pri and MT,sec (provided that the Warping Torsion (7 DOF) add-on has been activated)
Strains
Member strains represent local deformations in the form of axial strains and shearing. In the "Members" → "Strains" navigator category and in the "Strains" tab of the table, the following results are available:
- Axial strains and shear strains εx, γxy, and γxz
- Torsional and bending strains κx, κy, and κz
Contact Forces
For members with a member support, you can display the "Contact Forces" in the navigator and in the table. Specifically, these are:
- Contact forces px, pp, and pz
- Moment mx
Internal Forces by Section
The "Internal Forces by Section" tab of the table lists the extreme values of the internal forces that are available for each cross-section.
