Imperfections are deviations of structural components due to manufacturing and construction. You can also consider imperfections for a load case of the Modal Analysis analysis type. To do this, activate the Consider imperfection check box and select the imperfection case from the list.
The RFEM manual describes the imperfection cases and the possible imperfection types.
The following imperfection types can currently be used for a modal analysis:
- Notional loads from load case
- Initial sway via table
- Static deformation
- Buckling mode (provided the Structure Stability add-on is activated)
- Dynamic eigenmode
- Group of imperfection cases
