W obliczeniach stosowane są dwa typy siatek. The first is the finite element mesh (FEM) on the surface of the simplified model. Based on the first FEM mesh, a second finite volume mesh (FVM) is generated in the flow field around the model. These meshes are described in detail in the following chapter, followed by the local FVM refinement.
