Parameterized input allows you to enter model data and internal forces in such a way that they depend on certain variables. These variables, such as length, width, and thickness, are called parameters. You can define them in the Global Parameters list.
In input fields, you can use parameters in a Formula to determine a numerical value. If you later change the global parameter, the values of all formulas using the parameter will be adjusted.
The parameterized input is reasonable for models where many changes are to be expected. The formulas of the geometry and internal force values are stored in the model data. The parameterized input also facilitates repeatedly entered models that are similar: Upload the template file and simply adjust the global parameters.
