Creating Parts List of Cross-Sections and Export to Excel

How can I find out which lengths of a cross-section are used?

Answer:

A parts list of the cross-sections can be generated with the design modules (for example, RF‑/STEEL EC3) and transferred to Excel (see Image 01).

Furthermore, you can export the member table to Excel. This table can then be analyzed in Excel, for example, using a PivotTable (see Image 02).

In addition, you can determine information such as the length of members or the material mass with the "Centroid and Info" function. Select the members with the relevant cross-section and select the "Centroid and Info" command from the shortcut menu (see Figure 3).

As an alternative, you can program the output of a parts list with the RF‑COM/RS‑COM interface, as described in the article COM Interface in VBA | Creating Parts List.
