Options
You can enter the concrete cover yourself by selecting the 'User-defined' option. It is also possible to enter different concrete covers for the individual cross-section sides.
Concrete Durability
If you want to calculate the concrete cover according to the standard, you have to select the corresponding exposure classes. The Minimum concrete cover according to the standard is displayed on the right. You can find detailed information about the concrete durability in Chapter Concrete Durability of the introductory example.
Allowance in design for deviation acc. to 4.4.1.3(4)
You can calculate the allowance for deviation according to EN 1992-1-1, 4.4.1.3(4). To do this, click the button for an exposure class in the 'Concrete Durability' section . The dialog box 'Edit Concrete Durability' opens. Switch to the Concrete Cover Options tab. In the ' Allowance in design for deviation' section, select the For production on uneven surfaces according to 4.4.1.3(4) option.
