Sliding considering the passive earth pressure

When taking into account the passive earth pressure, there is a risk of sliding when the design value of the force H_d resulting from this surface in the direction of the displacement is greater than the sum of the design values of the resistance to sliding R_s,d and the earth resistance R_p,d. It is, therefore, necessary to verify that the following condition is met:

H_{d} \leq R_{s, d} + R_{p, d}

Earth resistance

σ_{h, t} = k_{p, h} (γ_{d} \cdot z_{o b e n} + q_{d}) + 2 \cdot {c^{'}}_{d} \cdot \sqrt{k_{p, h}}

σ_{h, b} = k_{p, h} (γ_{d} \cdot z_{u n t e n} + q_{d}) + 2 \cdot {c^{'}}_{d} \cdot \sqrt{k_{p, h}}

R_{p, x} = \frac{σ_{h, t} + σ_{h, b}}{2} \cdot t \cdot w_{x}

R_{p, y} = \frac{σ_{h, t} + σ_{h, b}}{2} \cdot t \cdot w_{y}

Sliding resistance

The sliding resistance is determined similarly to sliding without considering the passive earth pressure.
