In June 2013, likely the world's tallest timber lookout tower opened in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee, Austria. Including the top, the tower is 328 ft high. It has one closed and three free accessible platforms that offer a breathtaking view of the Alpe Adria region and the lake landscape of Carinthia.
The spiral shape designed by the architects Klaura + Kaden symbolizes growth and development.
Another highlight of the tower is Europe's highest roofed slide, with a height of almost 171 ft. It is located inside the construction. Riders can reach a velocity of up to 15.5 mph.
The structural analysis of this spectacular structure was carried out by LACKNER + RAML with RSTAB.
