'DS1 - Section 2.3 (LRFD)' and 'DS2 - Section 2.4 (ASD)' design situations were created automatically. If you have worked through Part 1, 2, or 3, the ‘DS2 - Section 2.4 (ASD)’ design situation was deleted. All design situations are listed in the 'Steel Joint Design' folder of the navigator as they may also be relevant for the connection design.
Double-click the DS1 - Section 2.3(LRFD) design situation item in the navigator. In the 'Design Situations' tab of the 'Load Cases & Combinations' dialog box, the 'Steel Joints' option is activated and the second-order (P-Δ) theory is set. This method is applicable when designing steel members.
Click OK to close the dialog box.
