LC1: Self-weight
The first load case, LC1, is preset. To check its parameters, go to the Load Cases & Combinations folder in the navigator and open the subentry Load Cases.
Double-click LC1 - Self-weight.
This load case includes the self-weight of all surfaces and members: In the 'Self-Weight' area, the gravitational factor is set which acts in the Z-direction.
To define the next load case, click the button in the bottom-left corner of the dialog box.
LC2: Lower Slab
The second load case is created. In the 'Load Case Name' area, enter Lower slab as this load case represents the lower slab live load (1).
In the 'Action Category' area, open the list of categories that are available according to EN 1990. Select the Q|A Imposed loads - category A option (see the Chapter System and Loads) (2).
Click the button in the bottom-left corner again to create the next load case (3).
LC3: Upper Slab
The third load case represents the upper slab live load. Enter Upper slab as load case name.
The 'Q|A Imposed loads - category A' action category has been set automatically.
Click the button one more time to create the last load case.
LC4: Platform
The fourth load case represents the platform live load. Thus, enter Platform.
The 'Q|A Imposed loads - category A' action category has been set automatically again.
All load cases have been defined now. Click OK to close the dialog box.
