Thicknesses

As all surfaces of the model have the same thickness, it would be sufficient to use one thickness type. Nevertheless, two types are to be defined – one for the slabs and one for the walls. This will make it easier to globally modify the thickness of slabs or walls as needed by the design, for example. Furthermore, it can be useful when checking the results.

Right-click the Thicknesses item in the navigator to open its shortcut menu. Select the New Thickness option.

The 'New Thickness' dialog box appears.

Make sure that C30/37 is set. Then enter 200 mm to define the thickness (1). In the 'Comment' area, you can enter Slabs to label the thickness type (2).

To continue, click the New button in the bottom-left corner of the dialog box (3).

Ensure C30/37 has been set for the material. Then enter 200 mm again. For the second type, enter Walls in the 'Comment' area.

Click OK to save the data.

All basic types of the objects have been defined now. In the next steps, the geometric objects of the model can be created.
