To create the concrete column member, double-click the vertical line in the centre (no. 13).
Select the Member option. The 'New Member' dialog box opens. The CIRCLE_M1 300 section is preset, which is appropriate.
Click OK twice to close the two dialog boxes.
The 3-D rendering gives the impression that parts of the column are not completely located within the surfaces. For this tutorial, a slightly simplified structural model is used. Nonetheless, the results are sufficiently accurate. The design of the circular member is demonstrated in Part 2 of the tutorial.
