Trajectories of Flowing Particles

This function allows you to calculate the trajectories of flowing particles during the transient flow calculation and, in post-processing, display their positions at any time layer. Particles are emitted with a given intensity from points defined by one or more Point Cloud objects. First, a point cloud must be defined at the location where particle emission is required, and then the point cloud is assigned in the Particles tab of the "Simulation Parameters" dialog box.

In the "Flowing Particles Option" section in "Edit Bar - Simulation," you can open the Flowing Particles Options or set the particle animation.

In the settings, you can set the line thickness, particle trajectory, particle size, and animation speed.

Important

Note that these points must be defined before the calculation, trajectories cannot be calculated after the transient flow calculation.

Tip

To display the "Flowing Particles" in the given "Time Layers," use the Time Layer section in "Edit Bar - Simulation."
