"Import Model from File" allows you to insert models in different formats, see Import Model.
A few notes on supported formats:
| VTP | Data format primarily associated with the ParaView program (data visualization), used to store VTK surface models (polygonal data). |
| STL | Data format for 3D printing and CAD design, used to store only the surface geometry of a 3D object. |
| OBJ | A simple data format, used to store polygonal geometry and free-form geometry (curves and surfaces). |
| IFC | CAD data exchange file format, used by BIM (Building Information Modeling). |
Options
Here are the settings for placing the model in the origin and adjusting the tunnel dimensions to the model.
Model check after import, if the model is topologically correct, the user is informed that the simplified model is not needed and can be disabled. The calculation is then performed on the exact geometry with sharp edges without rounding of edges caused by simplification.
