To run the full versions of RWIND 3 and RFEM 6 or RSTAB 9, it is necessary to authorize all programs. RWIND 3 comes with an important change in the licensing of the program, namely the Online License, which is compatible with the authorization of other Dlubal Software programs such as RFEM 6 and RSTAB 9. This license brings a number of benefits, such as the ability to conveniently use RWIND on multiple computers or to use it in virtual and cloud environments.
To activate RWIND 3, run the program as an administrator. Select License and Authorization in the dialog box that appears when the program is started without valid authorization.
Compared to RWIND 3, the option of authorization by software key has been removed and is no longer required. RWIND 3 can automatically detect and select the available authorization method at startup, and this feature is enabled by default. However, it can be turned off and the desired authorization method can be selected manually.
When using the Online License, log in to your account as seen in the image below.
After a successful login, the login credentials are remembered in the Windows Credential Manager. The next time RWIND 3 is run on the same computer, the login is performed automatically. Nevertheless, you can log out or log back in at any time by means of two options:
- Select the License and Authorization option on the Help menu to open the Authorization Status dialog box.
- Use the function in the top right area of the RWIND 3 window to open the License Manager.
When you are logged in, you can open the License Manager by clicking the Online License RWIND Basic/Pro item in the top right area and selecting License Manager.
This dialog box then allows you to select the desired license from the list of licenses available for your account. There are different levels of authorization, depending on the program license: RWIND 3 Basic, Pro, or Demo. The differences between the Basic and Pro versions are described in the previous chapter, RWIND Basic and Pro.
In addition, you can also borrow a license here in case you need to use RWIND 3 temporarily without an Internet connection. Use the
button next to the "Borrowed until ..." box for this. If you then want to return the borrowed license before its expiration, click the
button.
