The architectural competition was won by the design of Ingo Schrader, Berlin, in collaboration with structural engineers Bollinger + Grohmann. The structure consists of circular roofs with a diameter of about 25 m, resting on pyramidal supports. The roofing at Tor Nord was completed in August 2013.
