Aligning Line Supports to Local Axis System

I do not get any local support reactions on line supports in RFEM 6. What should I do to get them?

Answer:

If RFEM shows identical support reactions in the local and global directions, although the local line-axis system is clearly not identical to the global coordinate system, this is most likely due to the definition of the line support. An example of this is given in Image 01.

It is worth taking a look at the "Edit Line Support" dialog box; see also Image 02. If "Global XYZ" is set for the coordinate system, the support definition is aligned with the global axis system. Therefore, you can only determine the global support reactions.

If you change the coordinate system to "Local xyz", the line support is defined according to the line-axis system. Thus, the local support reactions can also be calculated.
The orientation of the line supports is also visualized in the rendering. Image 03 shows the difference between the global and the local alignment of line supports.
