By using the free xlwings library for Python, you can control EXCEL, and read and write values. The functionality is described in the following, using an example.

In RFEM and RSTAB, you can use parametric RSECTION cross-sections. If the corresponding parameters have been defined in RSECTION, you can easily modify them in RFEM/RSTAB.

Moreover, the Effective Sections add-on in RSECTION allows you to calculate the effective cross-section according to EN 1999-1-1, taking into account the transverse weld.
