Methodological Approaches to Calculating Wind Loads on Monolithic Frame Buildings

The primary aim of this research is to perform a comprehensive evaluation of wind load calculation methods for monolithic frame buildings. This study critically compares international standards - such as ASCE 7 and EN 1991-1-4 - with Ukraine's national standard DBN B.1.2-2:2006, and develops enhanced recommendations for achieving more accurate load predictions and improved structural design under dynamic wind effects and regional climatic variations.

The outcomes of this research provide critical insights for structural engineers in the design and analysis of high-rise buildings. By offering a robust comparison of established standards and proposing refined computational approaches, the study contributes to safer, more reliable, and cost-effective structural designs. These recommendations are applicable both in the reconstruction of existing structures and in the design of new constructions, particularly in regions experiencing diverse climatic conditions and complex wind dynamics.
