As in the case of Construction Stage 1, a load of the Form-Finding type is to be applied. First, the membrane is prestressed by defining a surface load (
) (see Image New Surface Load of "Form-Finding" Type). Assign this load to the membrane surfaces.
Furthermore, a member load is defined with the Form-Finding load type and assigned to the boundary members of the membrane. As explained in Chapter Load Case "Prestress", the member load of the "Form-Finding" type can be applied geometrically or as a force. In our example, the "Force" definition type and an average force in the member of 50 kN are selected. The procedure of setting the form-finding member load is shown in Image New Member Load of "Form-Finding" Type.
