RFEM 5 Add-on Modules – Piping Systems
The RF-PIPING and RF-PIPING Design add-on modules allow for modeling and design of pipelines (including typical piping components, such as valves, reducers, flanges, tees, and others). Piping analysis can be performed for the entire structure; that is, in interaction with the supporting structure.
RF-PIPING Add-on Module for RFEM 5
The RF-PIPING module is an extension of the RFEM user interface and allows modeling and loading pipelines conforming to standards.
It is possible to define specific piping components (valves, reducers, fittings, flanges, tees, expansion joints, and others) and thus affect the calculation. The integration in RFEM ensures interaction between the supporting structure and the piping system. Due to this interaction and consideration of the flexibility of the supporting structure in the piping system, it is possible to carry out a realistic analysis.
RF-PIPING Design Add-on Module for RFEM 5
RF-PIPING Design is used to design pipelines. The module compares the existing stresses with the allowable stresses according to the selected standards. The design in RF-PIPING Design is based on the pipe modeling in RF-PIPING add-on module.
It allows for piping stress analysis, taking into account various loads and thermal expansion. Users can benefit from useful feature, such as the check of minimum wall thicknesses, stress analysis of different load types, and comprehensive result documentation.
