The approach for considering snow drifts is implemented in RFEM and RSTAB for sawtooth roofs in accordance with DIN EN 1991-1-3, Section 5.3.4(3). By specifically defining the snow drift arrangement at the nodal points of the roof surface, the load cases “snow with snow drift” and “snow without snow drift” can be quickly generated. The display also visualizes the distribution of the roof area, which supports the determination of the correct support loads.
