The project's architectural and structural highlight is the huge timber roof rolling across an area of 645,835 ft², spanning the building like a giant wave; it was designed by the Austrian company Graf‑Holztechnik.

The primary structure consisting of mighty glulam beams rests on steel and reinforced concrete columns up to 66 ft high.

The structure supports a record amount of approximately 282,517.3 ft³ of cross‑laminated timber slabs. The three- and five-layer panels have thicknesses of ~ 4.7 to 9.5 inches and span lengths of up to ~ 32.8 ft. Designers have calculated the thickness for each slab to dimension the structure to be as slender and efficient as possible.
