The Torsional Warping (7 DOF) add-on extends the calculation of member elements and allows for the cross-section warping to be taken into account as an additional degree of freedom. The structural system is entered, and the calculation with 7 degrees of freedom is performed on the graphical user interface of RFEM and RSTAB. The corresponding input functions are described in the manual of the main program (see Chapter Structure of the RFEM manual).
This chapter provides an overview of the structural elements relevant for the calculation with 7 degrees of freedom, and highlights their special features when using the Torsional Warping (7 DOF) add-on. Unless otherwise specified in this manual, the functions of the structural elements described in the RFEM 6 manual also apply to this add-on.
