Transfer of Boundary Conditions from RF‑/STEEL Warping Torsion and RF‑/STEEL EC3

Are the boundary conditions transferred from RFEM/RSTAB when performing the analysis with RF‑/STEEL Warping Torsion or with the General Method in RF‑/STEEL EC3?

Answer:

Nodal supports and boundary conditions are preset, but not imported. They usually have to be adjusted.

For the General Method of member set design in RF-/STEEL EC3, nodal supports φx' and uy' are predefined at the member set start and member set end, respectively, representing a lateral and torsional restraint for all straight member sets.

In RF‑/STEEL Warping Torsion, nodal supports ux, uy, uz, and φx are always predefined at the start and end of member sets.
