In particular, our efforts were directed towards the technological and structural design of the shading roof depicted in the photographs.
The integration of the parametric design, created with Rhino/Grasshopper software, into the structural design was achieved rapidly and efficiently through the use of the Dlubal RFEM 6 software, due to the seamless integration between the two software programs. Furthermore, the design of steel tubular elements was performed using the "Steel Design" add-on, while load modeling was facilitated by the utilization of load transfer surfaces, a highly beneficial feature given the expansive surface area of the structure.
Ultimately, the constrained ground reactions were extracted for the purpose of joint sizing.
