The model presents the application of downstand beams as well as hybrid structures in cross-laminated timber structures with larger spans. It is displayed how surfaces and member cross-sections are used in RFEM 5 for modeling curved downstand beams. Automatic member eccentricity ensures a precise thickness distance between the surface and the member, while flexible line release allows for a flexible joint. In addition, the image illustrates typical structural elements in which curved downstand beams and exact connection solutions can be seen. All information is based on proven technical design principles.
