The extension to the university library in Fayetteville, Arkansas, USA, makes extensive use of cross-laminated timber for the roof, walls, and floors. Supporting elements, such as beams, columns, and double-hinged frames, are made of glued-laminated timber, which displays an impressive timber structure. Robbins Engineering from the USA was responsible for the construction team. The design supports the storage of almost 2 million books and shows the efficiency of modern timber structures technologies.
