FAQ 005202 | I have activated Steel Design in my model and defined design types for the members ...

Question:
I have activated Steel Design in my model and defined design types for the members. Why can I not design the superordinate member set?

Answer:
If you want to design a member set in RFEM 6 or RSTAB 9, it is necessary to activate the design in the definition of the member set. If this is not the case, the member set is interpreted as invalid during the design, and is not taken into account.

Double-click the member set to edit it. By activating design properties, you can edit them in the additional tabs. Click OK to close the dialog box and the member set becomes available for the design.

Please note that when activating the design properties of a member set, the subordinate individual members are no longer activated for the design.
