Graduation Thesis: Design and Calculation of Lightweight Framework House

This master thesis deals with the design and calculation of a lightweight timber framework house. This structural system has a stability against lateral forces thanks to the diaphragm effect generated by the reinforcement panels in walls, floors, and the roof.

A model was created in RFEM to design the linear elements. This model includes the posts of the wall frame, its upper beam as well as the floor and ceiling joists, and the main glued laminated timber girders. After including all the load cases according to the relevant standard, all the supports have been designed with RF-/TIMBER Pro.
